Hey, I'm Nat Harmer - an award winning songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥, 𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜, 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐬. Professional since 1999, I have worked as a full time songwriter, mentor and performer since 2011.

My primary project "The Incantus" was nominated in the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬, and as a composer I have written music for a successful 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝.

I frequently help artists take rough ideas and shape them into fully formed songs — whether that means tightening structure, developing melodies, refining lyrics or building out arrangements that feel true to the project.

Sessions can be fully remote or conducted in a high-end studio setting, depending on your requirements, using a mix of real and high‑quality virtual instruments. I collaborate regularly with an extensive network of session musicians, so if your song needs live drums, specialist instrumentation or additional performances, we can build a team around your creative vision.

I’ve written and produced for artists across Australia and internationally, and I also teach songwriting and artist development, which keeps me closely connected to how different writers think and create.
